Cheese 'n' Wine event
Cheese 'n' Wine (CnW) is an open series of events organized by the University of Helsinki, where short speeches will be heard from innovative researchers, students, companies, and possibly innovation funding bodies. The event has been organized in Viikki three times in 2022 and, from January 2023, CnW events will be held approximately once a month, alternating on all UH campuses.
These events are intended for all researchers interested in innovation, students, companies, investors, financiers, third sector operators, as well as operators supporting innovation activities. The first event taking place in Meilahti campus will be held in English at Terkko Health Hub on February 16 from 2 to 4 pm.

HiLIFE webinar / Viikki Monday Seminar: Maria Dornelas
Maria Dornelas is a macroecologist studying biodiversity change in the Anthropocene. Her research includes synthesis of biodiversity data, theoretical ecology and empirical observations, and she has been conducting fieldwork in tropical seas for over 20 years. She co-leads the biodiversity time series database BioTIME. Maria is a Professor at Centre for Biological Diversity, School of Biology, University of St Andrews and at MARE, Faculdade de Ciencias da Universidade de Lisboa. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and Editor in Chief of the journal Global Ecology and Biogeography.

Biostatistics drop-in workshop
The next workshop is on Wednesday 1st March, at 13:00-15:00 in Biomedicum 2B, in the Olohuone on floor 6. Come whenever you can. Note that you may end up waiting a while for your turn, especially early on in the session. We aim to spend no more than 15 minutes with each customer.

Registration is not required, but you can help us prepare for your questions by filling in this form. The workshops are open to any researcher at the university's Medical Faculty, HUS or FIMM.
