Degrowing academia - towards fossil-free publishing and beyond

You might not know it, but many of the ways we do business as academics support fossil-fuel-heavy industries. In publishing and beyond, we are brought up to think competitively within a framework of artificial scarcity that demands growth at all costs. But what if we as an academic community already have everything we need, and could free ourselves from fossil-fuel- and growth-driven actors in our work?
