Mental Health Literacy - An afternoon in The Science Basement

The Science Basement would like to invite you to listen and interact during an Afternoon in the Science Basement. The next speaker of the monthly fall series, Liya Merzon, a PhD student in Neurosciences at Aalto University and a mental health activist from Dragonfly Mental Health, will present their work, ‘Mental Health Literacy’

Description: How to maintain mental health being a researcher, what are the most common mental challenges people face in academia, and how to cope with anxiety, depression, and other mental conditions.

More info: follow our event on FB by clicking this link https://tinyurl.com/Mental-Health-Literacy email the organizing team at afternoons@thesciencebasement.org

P.S. Any PhD student from University of Helsinki or Aalto can give a talk (any topic), contact the email above to find out more ;)

UPM Biomedicals 9th Annual Conference: Towards standardization of spheroids & organoids

What are the challenges and opportunities of using organoids in biomedical research? How can 3D cell toxicology models improve the safety and efficacy of new drugs? How can human-centric research reduce the reliance on animal testing and enhance the relevance of organoid models? How can cost-effectiveness of 3D models be achieved without compromising the quality and complexity of organoid cultures? Join us for an exciting event where research and industry experts will share their insights and experiences on these and other aspects of 3D cell culture, from quality assessment and optimization of organoid models to animal-free solutions and economic benefits of 3D models.
