Creating an explosion – form and function in explosive fruit
Group Leader Angela Hay from the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Germany
Angela is originally from New Zealand. She completed her doctorate in maize genetics lab in Sarah Hake’s lab at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. She subsequently joined Miltos Tsiantis’s group at University of Oxford, U.K., as a Glasstone Research Fellow, before establishing her independent research group as a Royal Society University Research Fellow. In 2013, she moved to Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research (MPIPZ) in Cologne, Germany, as a Max Planck Society Minerva Research Fellow, where she leads her research group in the Department of Comparative Development and Genetics.
