Education

The first two years of undergraduate medical curriculum takes place in the Biomedicum Helsinki building. The two-year curriculum is the same for medical and dental students. The principal method of teaching/learning is the student-oriented problem-based learning.

In addition to undergraduate teaching, there is an active graduate training in the Biomedicum Helsinki building. The Doctoral Programme in Biomedicine is based in Biomedicum,Helsinki, and is one of the programs responsible for graduate training. Also graduate students belonging to several other Doctroal Programmes in the Helsinki area work in different research groups at Biomedicum Helsinki.
