Jaana Rantanen will give an overview of the services Business Finland can offer to support the commercialization of research results and the creation of new research-driven companies, starting from the early stages.

The seminar will address practical questions such as:

• when researchers should first approach Business Finland
• what funding and support are available at different early stages
• expectations and evaluation criteria for applicants
• what is expected from Research to Business projects
• common weaknesses in funding applications
• how an academic research project can progress toward a startup company

The seminar is particularly relevant for researchers, senior scientists, group leaders and clinicians interested in translating scientific discoveries into commercial applications.
