• “Cell type and sex dependent mechanisms underlying amygdala circuit dysfunction following chronic stress” by Dr. Sari Lauri (University of Helsinki)
Small group discussions led by
• Hanna Antila: Role of sleep in psychiatric disorders and their treatment
• Christian Hakulinen: Social networks and mental health
• Helena Kilpinen: Cellular genetics of brain-related diseases and traits
• Satu Palva: Brain complex network dynamics in mental disorders
• Olli Pietiläinen: From genes to mechanism in schizophrenia
• Patrik Wikman: Audiovisual attention and dyslexia
Short talks: We invite students and early-career researchers to submit abstracts for a chance to present in the short talks session. Selected abstracts will be featured, and authors notified by 2.12.
Target audience: Students, postdocs and faculty working on human genetic and imaging studies in psychiatric diseases, mechanisms of psychiatric diseases, including functional, pharmacological and genetic analyses in model organisms, and related fields.
Credits (NEUBM-301): Students will receive 1 ECTS from attendance + submitting a 1 page essay on the scientific content of the symposium, or 2 ECTS by attendance + oral presentation + essay.
