SWAN symposium

How do metabolism, genetics, and environmental factors shape healthy aging?

The SWAN (Sustainable Wellbeing Across Life Span) profile area brings together researchers working at the interface of metabolism, machine learning, stem cell biology, and clinical medicine to understand the mechanisms that determine health trajectories across life. The insights gained are applied to population health research and to promote healthy aging.

The second SWAN Symposium highlights recent advances in healthy aging research and provides a platform for discussing emerging concepts and discoveries in the field.  The symposium features keynote lectures by Professor Jared Rutter (Department of Biochemistry, University of Utah & Nuclear Control of Cell Growth and Differentiation Program at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute) and Professor Anna Wredenberg (Mitochondrial Metabolism in Health and Disease, Karolinska Institutet), together with presentations from an excellent lineup of local researchers from within and beyond the SWAN community.
