AiLIFE: Accelerating Life Sciences with AI and Agents
Towards AI-Native Molecular Medicine Research: A Life Scientist’s Perspective”
Opening seminar: Tuesday 27th of October at 13-14, Seminar room 1-2, Biomedicum 1
Speaker: Olli Kallioniemi: “Towards AI-Native Molecular Medicine Research: A Life Scientist’s Perspective”
About AiLIFE:
Agentic artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from proof-of-concept demonstrations toward practical tools for scientific research. In the life sciences, emerging systems can already support tasks ranging from literature synthesis and experimental planning to molecular design, data analysis and laboratory automation.
The new AiLIFE: Accelerating Life Sciences with AI and Agents seminar series brings together life scientists, AI researchers and practitioners interested in how these technologies can accelerate scientific discovery. The series will cover a broad range of topics such as AI agents, AI-guided experimentation, literature-scale reasoning, foundation models, generative design, automated laboratories and practical agentic workflows.
Beyond the talks, AiLIFE aims to build a community connecting students and researchers who are already applying AI in their work with those interested in exploring its potential. Whether you are developing AI methods, applying them in your research, or simply curious about where the field is heading, you are warmly welcome!
We look forward to building a community around this rapidly evolving field and to exploring, together, how AI can help accelerate the scientific process.
