- Check if you are eligible to donate: canidonate.fi
- Book an appointment: https://ajanvaraus.veripalvelu.fi/VP/location/Biomedicum or via the QR code.
- Complete the health questionnaire no earlier than the day before your donation: healthquestionnaire.fi
Please bring an official ID (driver’s license is accepted).
The donation itself only takes 5–10 minutes but allow about an hour for the whole visit. We offer all donors coffee, tea, and a light snack.

Why is blood donation important?
Donated blood is used to prepare blood components for hospitals, where they are vital for accident victims, cancer patients, mothers after childbirth, and surgical patients. By donating blood, you can save a patient’s life. Every weekday, 600–700 donors are needed.
